I love the times when you know you should be folding laundry, cleaning toilets etc. and your child says, 'Mommy, come watch my tricks outside on my bike’, I love dropping it all, (maybe throwing the laundry a bit on my way out, the toilet will still be there when I come back!) and running out to see one of the best things that makes my life what it is.
That's the chaos that I love! To me, planning out every little detail and sticking to the plan no matter what, is stifling, you're left with a huge dose of 'just plain dull' and nothing to look back on, reminisce and have a good belly laugh about when life really does slow down (I have been told that that will happen somewhere down the road)!
I know that I do still need to keep everything running fairly smoothly though, you know, keep everyone fed and the house somewhat orderly so no one gets injured, that's how Chaos . . . simplified came about! It's a plan, with lots of room for adventure!
My husband and I have three children that we home school and I also work part-time. Life is amazing but it can get pretty chaotic (okay, that's a little bit of an understatement!) Children, marriage, family, friends, schedules, meals, housecleaning (notice I put that last!) . . . aka Life! It just doesn't ever seem to slow down. I always felt like I was one day late no matter how hard I tried. I knew that if I could just get some sort of organizing |

figured out and incorporated without having a personal assistant, I could make it work, or just make it look impressive with my daily events scribbled on a calendar! Then I could look like Superwoman by anyone that I chose to pull my day planner out in front of. My search began about 10 years ago to find the "perfect planner". I came across some really amazing ones along the way, but nothing that ever really seemed to completely 'click' for my life. t 2 years ago I had a creative minute (I still don't know really where I found that spare minute never mind the creative part of it), I announced to my husband that I was going to just make my own! I showed him my idea and he said "Why don't you get it published"! Poor guy, ever since he made that statement he's definitely lost some hair over it! |
